Strengthening Child Safety Online: Our Support for a Durable EU Legal Framework PikPak, 2026-04-01 At our core, we believe the internet should be a place where people can connect, create, and share freely — without compromising safety. That’s why we’ve joined the Internet Watch Foundation (IWF) and other industry partners in supporting a joint initiative calling on the EU to establish a durable legal framework to protect children from online sexual abuse. Built on Responsibility The way people communicate online is evolving rapidly — and so are the risks. In recent years, harmful content, including child sexual abuse material (CSAM), has grown not only in scale but also in sophistication. New technologies, including AI, are accelerating this trend and making detection more complex than ever. We take a zero-tolerance approach to child sexual abuse material (CSAM). Privacy and Safety Go Hand in Hand We understand that trust is built on both privacy and protection. These are not opposing goals. With thoughtful design and responsible technology, it’s possible to uphold both — ensuring users can communicate freely while harmful content is effectively addressed. Working Together to Do Better No single platform can solve this challenge alone. Creating a safer internet requires collaboration across the ecosystem — from technology companies and nonprofits to policymakers and communities. By supporting initiatives like this, we aim to contribute to a stronger, more consistent approach to online safety.
