Relentless Efforts to Improve Your Experience: Download Speed Enhancements

Recently, we received feedback from some users that downloading files to devices via PikPak was slower than expected, resulting in a less than ideal experience. We immediately conducted analysis and investigation, and found that the main cause is changes in the global internet infrastructure, particularly cross-border network transmission, which has become the primary bottleneck. Unfortunately, this issue cannot be fully resolved by us alone, but we remain committed to improving and optimising the experience wherever possible.

To help “mitigate” the current cross-border data transmission constraints, we have implemented several key adjustments after thorough research and testing:

Permanent increase in base download quotas

• Free and Regional Premium: increased from 6MB/s to 8MB/s
• Global Premium: increased from 15MB/s to 20MB/s

Actual speed limits beyond quotas

  To further improve experience, the current download speed cap exceeds the base quotas:

• Free and Regional Premium: up to 10MB/s
• Global Premium: up to 25MB/s

Additional speed benefits

  During periods of abundant network bandwidth, we may attempt to double the user download speed limit. This means that at times, you could enjoy speeds far exceeding the usual limits.

We acknowledge that these adjustments may increase our costs, but we will not charge extra or change premium subscription prices.

We would also like to be transparent:

• As mentioned, factors such as internet infrastructure and cross-border transmission limits often play a key role in user experience. Therefore, even with these optimisations, some users may still find it difficult to reach the ideal download speeds.
• If your local network environment has restrictions, using a proxy server, VPN, or other acceleration services may provide a better experience, provided it complies with local laws.

We will continue to monitor network performance and explore every possible optimisation to provide users with a more stable and efficient download experience.
